Abstract
本研究は,Sodium-dependent glucose transporter 2 inhibitors(SGLT2is)の副次的効果に体重減少が挙げられるが,加えて日常生活等の身体活動量の向上に結びつくかを検討した調査期間は2018年5月〜2020年2月末とし,対象は当院糖尿病・内分泌内科の外来診療で血糖コントロールが可能な肥満2型糖尿病患者とした。評価項目は,身体活動量(International Physical Activity Questionnaire:IPAQ),HbA1c,体重,Body Mass Index(BMI),最大握力,骨格筋量とした。被検者15人は3ヶ月の以内にHbA1cの改善と体重減少,BMIの改善を認め,最大握力と骨格筋量が維持された一方,身体活動の行動変容までには至らなかった。
One of the known secondary effects of sodium-dependent glucose transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2is) is weight loss. This study examined whether the use of SGLT2is is also associated with improvements in physical activity level in daily living. During the study period between May 2018 and February 2020, obese type 2 diabetic patients who were able to achieve glycemic control were recruited in the outpatient clinic of the Department of Diabetology, Endocrinology and Metabolism to collect the following data: physical activity level (International Physical Activity Questionnaire), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) level, weight, body mass index (BMI), maximum grip strength, and skeletal muscle mass. A total of 15 patients were included in the study. As a result, the patients achieved weight loss as well as improvements in HbA1c level and BMI within 3 months of the treatment. Grip strength and skeletal muscle mass were also maintained. However, patients reported no behavioral changes in terms of physical activity.
